Give us the apartment number and floor at both addresses, then describe the route between the truck and the door. A building with an elevator may still require a long walk through a garage or courtyard. Photos of the loading area, stairs and a tight doorway can make the handling plan much clearer.

Before reserving the crew

  • Ask each property about moving hours, elevator reservations and loading-space rules.
  • Send any mover paperwork requirements to JEM for review before confirming the date.
  • Check when keys will be available and when the old apartment must be empty.
  • List large furniture that may need disassembly, including bed frames and sectional sofas.

Before moving day

  • Keep gate codes and the property contact handy.
  • Label boxes for the room where they belong at the new apartment.
  • Separate personal essentials you will carry yourself.
  • Tell the team if the reserved elevator, parking space or inventory has changed.

Planning around a tight lease handover

If the new apartment will not be available when you leave the old one, explain the gap before booking. A storage stop or staged move changes the route, loading order and handling work. Confirm storage access and who will meet the crew at each stop. Do not assume that an extra stop is included in an earlier estimate.

For a better apartment moving estimate, send the same inventory and access details you would use to plan the move. Bedrooms alone do not describe the amount of work. If you also need move-out cleaning, include the apartment size, condition and deadline in the request.
