An urgent move needs quick decisions, but it still needs a clear scope and a confirmed crew. “Last minute” can mean a booking for tomorrow or a request to move this afternoon. Explain the actual date, deadline and work required so JEM can assess availability and give a useful estimate.
Same day is different from short notice
JEM's live planner currently adds a $200 flat same-day move fee when today's date is selected for a moving request. Checking the same-day option also adds that fee, once per move. A last-minute request for a future date is not automatically the same thing as a move performed today; confirm the quoted urgency charge with the office.
Availability is not guaranteed by completing the planner. Call 904-999-0130 to discuss a time-sensitive request and confirm whether the required crew, vehicle and access window can be arranged.
Expect the moving work to be priced as well
The $200 fee is additional to the move, not a complete moving price. Depending on the service, the estimate can include crew labor and minimum hours, dispatch, travel, fuel, packing materials, access allowances and requested extras. The quote also itemizes the applicable service fee and tax.
Describe the inventory honestly. A few urgent pieces, an unpacked three-bedroom home and a fully packed labor-only unload require different resources. Additional packing or specialty handling needs review rather than an assumption that urgency includes it.
Give the office a short, complete brief
Provide pickup and delivery addresses, the required date, any hard property deadline, contact details, stairs or elevators and approximate carton and furniture counts. Say whether you need a truck or only loading and unloading help. Send useful access or inventory photographs when requested.
Explain constraints immediately: keys not yet available, a building reservation, a storage closing time or a safe needing specialist assessment. A crew cannot recover time spent discovering an inaccessible property.
Prepare the part you can control
Separate items staying behind, secure ordinary cartons, keep essentials with you and clear the permitted route. If packing is unfinished, request help instead of hiding that fact. Do not attempt unsafe heavy handling while waiting for a response.
Review the written scope, actual availability, charges and booking steps before relying on the plan. Selecting a date or saving a quote alone does not reserve a same-day crew.
